Get a license
Buy a plugin, a bundle, or claim one of the free tools from the catalog. Your license key appears immediately on your account page, next to a download link for each Revit version that license covers.
Run the installer for your Revit version
ModlQ supports Revit 2024, 2025, and 2026, each with its own installer — pick the one matching your Revit version on the account page. Close Revit if it's open, then run the installer — it needs no admin rights and installs quietly into that version's own Revit AddIns folder. If Windows SmartScreen flags it as an unrecognized app, choose More info → Run anyway; it's expected for a small, independently-published installer and isn't a sign anything's wrong.
Restart Revit and open Add-Ins
ModlQ adds one ribbon tab, Add-Ins, laid out as a panel per category. Every tool you have access to shows up there automatically — nothing to enable, register, or configure per-plugin.
Activate on first run
The first time you run a licensed tool, it asks for your license key — paste the one from your account page and it's remembered from then on. The key is stored locally (in %AppData%\ModlQ) and re-validated automatically in the background, with a 7-day offline grace period if you're ever without a connection.
